Building pathways beyond the barriers.

DHR Foundation expands access to resources, opportunity and community support so people can move toward stability, recovery, independence and belonging.

Sometimes the need falls between the systems

Programs, insurance and public contracts can provide critical support, but they do not cover every barrier a person or community faces. DHR Foundation was created to help build what is missing, strengthen what is working and create new opportunities where traditional systems leave gaps.

Our Focus Areas

[1]

Housing Stability

We support initiatives that prevent homelessness and strengthen long-term housing stability for those facing barriers.

[2]

Recovery and Reentry

We create opportunities for people to reconnect with treatment and community, fostering a supportive environment for growth.

[3]

Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency

We support pathways to employment and skill development, helping people build the independence they need to thrive.

[4]

Community Connection

We help communities connect people with appropriate resources and strengthen coordination between service systems.

[5]

Peer Leadership

We support the development of people with lived experience as effective peer leaders and community advocates.

[6]

Innovation and Gap-Filling

We develop charitable projects and pilot initiatives that address needs traditional systems cannot adequately cover.

Built from community experience

Our connection to Destination Hope and Recovery gives the Foundation the benefit of years of community experience, relationships and lessons learned. Our separate nonprofit governance allows DHR Foundation to build charitable initiatives around needs that may fall outside traditional service contracts.
